  1. As long as those devices only come with 100Mbps LAN and no SPDIF out, DTS5.1, I will not buy, google certified or not. Quiet possibly other things people will want to see in a box. Then they give one USB 3 and USB 2 – make it all USB 3. Always they give better CPU and GPU, but peripheral is left behind like ancient history. I believe the extra cost for latest hardware components is next to nothing overall. Most reviewer then compare it in some ways to the NV shield which cost x times more. Come on Chinese manufacture produce something worth to buy.

  2. I prefer an an Android TV Box with the full Play Store – this box is decidedly unremarkable. Thank's for a great review. Cheer's 👍

  3. That box will NOT passthrough HD audio……… It only passthrough Dolby Digital and DTS, but NOT the HD audio codecs. Also, the specs show that it will hardware decode the VC-1 video codec, but it will NOT. I have several BlueRay rips that are encoded with VC-1, but those videos lose lots of frames, which causes jerkiness.

Only my Nvidia Shield will passthrough the HD audio codecs AND play the VC-1 encoded videos flawlessly.

Also, any of these low cost low powered Amlogic boxes running LibreELEC/CoreELEC will play all the video AND audio flawlessly. However, this box has a locked bootloader, so NO dual booting.
