  1. I'm definitely glad I never purchased those sets from ebay. I really wanted to try out Man-Thing and Howard the Duck. I'm glad that this set exists. The only thing that I don't like about this set is the art for Squirrel Girl (one of my favorite characters) and Jessica Jones just looks off. The artwork on their cards just doesn't do them justice. Other than that, I think I'm going to like this set.

  2. I'm pretty much with Tom on this one. The Switcheroo ability is cool and it's fun having J Jonah Jameson as a "mastermind" who is basically throwing out lots of angry mobs on the streets that you have to deal with before you can confront him directly. And I definitely agree that adding in additional henchmen groups felt a little overdue, I'd have to double check but I think the number of henchmen groups was noticeably less than the number of villain groups so I tended to feel like henchmen are where I saw the most repeated picks in games.

Also one thing that's kind of interesting about Howard the Duck's abilities is that synergy they have with heroes with no team icon and, of course, Howard himself has no team icon. It's a bit of a unique synergy in the game, there are many characters that synergy with specific groups like the X-Men or Avengers or with specific card colors but Howard is the first one I can think of that synergizes with "solo characters". Kind of interesting. 🙂
